Welcome to Smiling Horse Farm

Smiling Horse Farm is an equestrian boarding and training center specializing in Eventing located in Upstate South Carolina. We're situated in a quiet setting halfway between Clemson and Anderson; 10 minutes from I-85 with easy access to Greenville and other Upstate locations. Tryon and Aiken are 80 and 135 minutes away, respectively. 

Our equestrian facilities include a 14-stall barn with tack, feed, utility room and restroom. We have an outdoor arena as well as grass areas for schooling on the flat and for stadium jumping and cross country jumping. Boarders and students also have access to trails for hacking and conditioning. 

The "Smiling Horse" name came from Geoff's first competition horse called Rincon. He taught Geoff much about riding and to provide treats whenever he smiled. As a loved and valued school horse he became a Schoolmaster for many students learning how to ride and jump. He had a way of knowing each students abilities and challenged them just enough while keeping them safe.
